Head of Compliance As the Head of Compliance, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and timely submission of SSEG (Small-Scale Embedded Generation) applications, overseeing regulatory administration to ensure compliance with solar installations, and managing a team of municipality relationship managers.
Your primary focus will be on establishing and maintaining strong relationships with municipalities, navigating regulatory changes, and resolving conflicts effectively.
Additionally, you will strategize and lead efforts to address potential challenges arising from municipal interactions and ensure the company's compliance with relevant regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities Oversee the timely and accurate submission of SSEG applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Manage a team of municipality relationship managers, providing guidance and support to establish and nurture strong relationships with municipal authorities.
Act as a mediator and escalate conflicts as necessary, ensuring swift resolution to maintain positive relationships and compliance with regulations.
Monitor and stay abreast of regulatory changes and trends in the solar industry, advising the company on potential implications and necessary adjustments.
Strategize and implement initiatives to mitigate potential conflicts with municipalities, leveraging previous experience in negotiating and navigating complex regulatory environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with compliance objectives and facilitate communication between departments.
Desired Experience & Qualification Proven experience in working with municipalities, preferably in a regulatory compliance or similar capacity.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with municipal authorities and stakeholders.
Track record of successfully resolving conflicts and addressing regulatory challenges, preferably in a related industry such as fibre optics.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address potential compliance issues proactively.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex regulatory matters clearly and persuasively.
Ability to lead and manage a team effectively, fostering collaboration and driving results.
Flexibility to travel as required and access to a vehicle for transportation.
