Job Description:

As the Head of Legal and Compliance, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of a rapidly evolving industry leader. This position offers a unique opportunity to drive legal and compliance initiatives that will safeguard the company's interests while fostering innovation and growth in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:

Spearhead the strategic delivery of legal and compliance functions, partnering with top management to mitigate risks and drive business successOversee the preparation, review, and execution of high-stakes business contracts across multiple functionsLead project-based merger and acquisition activities, including due diligence, contractual drafting, and regulatory submissionsAnalyze bids, proposals, and emerging legislation to identify opportunities and potential challenges for the businessNegotiate and conclude licensing conditions with regulatory authoritiesManage pre-claim resolutions to protect the company's interests effectivelyDrive gaming compliance, anti-money laundering practices, and responsible gaming initiativesServe as the primary regulatory representative, facilitating all interactions with gaming authoritiesDevelop and implement internal regulatory policies to ensure operational complianceGuide new product development from inception to market launch, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirementsRequirements:

Law degree with admission as an attorney, preferably with a focus on corporate or gaming lawMinimum of 10 years of experience in a senior legal role, with at least 5 years in the gaming or related regulated industryProven track record in managing complex legal and compliance matters in a corporate environmentStrong understanding of gaming regulations, anti-money laundering laws, and responsible gaming practicesExcellent negotiation skills and ability to influence at the executive levelStrategic thinker with the ability to anticipate and mitigate legal and regulatory risksOutstanding communication skills, both written and verbalDemonstrated leadership experience in managing and developing high-performing teamsAdaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory landscapeR1,500,000 - R2,000,000 per annum based on experience and qualifications
