Apply now to join our client's team.Education Requirements- Bachelors degree in Finance or Business Science- Or bachelors degree in other relevant fieldExperience Requirements- 5+ years of experience in project management in the renewable energy industry in South Africa- Project finance experience- Registered CA would be advantageousResponsibilitiesWorking alongside the Business Development team, you would play a key role in shaping and implementing our client's broader Business Development Strategy in South Africa.Originating project development and M&A opportunities (particularly in sectors such as Commercial & Industrial and Energy Trading)Lead our client's involvement in the REIPP program, overseeing the review of tender requirements, structuring, and submission of bid responsesLead in developing projects to financial close, securing permits as needed, and ensuring close collaboration with finance, the financial modelling team, legal, HR, and technical and operational teamsNegotiate documentation, including Offtake Agreements, JDA Term Sheets, JDAs, Shareholder Agreements, and Share Purchase Agreements, in collaboration with legal and finance teamsIdentifying, managing, and mitigating risks throughout the development, construction, and operational phasesDue diligence process for M&A and Project Finance transactions, including negotiating key project documents such as PPAs, SPAs, and Finance AgreementsCoordinate due diligence, review data rooms, and support valuation and offer preparation for project acquisitions and financial closeSkills- Maths and financial modelling- Results-driven- Excellent interpersonal skills- Decisive and firm decision maker- Willingness to travel across Africa
