Head of Business Development – South AfricaYou will play a key role in managing and delivering Dunomo's geographic expansion plan into South Africa and the rest of Africa. The role will have the opportunity to be part of a highly strategic team that drives the set-up and development of the business across Africa. This role focuses on leading all market development activities to drive expansion of the business. This will include coverage of the region to create awareness of the organization's product suite, identify and tap into the right decision makers in card networks, banks, corporates, SMEs, and other key partners, and coordinate with regulators and key policymakers in the region to ensure market leadership.RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for the region's new client acquisition and existing customer (corporate) servicing, monetization, upsell, and exploring new solutions suited to client/market requirements. This is a pure B2B business sales/partnership role.Responsible for maintaining and growing regional revenues and business volumes (topline, transactions) with a close eye on business margins and customer appreciation.Responsible for marketing and growing the complete Dunomo product portfolio consisting of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Cross Border solutions, Invoice Discounting, and Invoice Financing to B2B businesses.Handle, nurture, develop, deepen, and grow existing credit card networks and issuing bank relationships.Responsible to approach new banks/NBFCs/payment partners with the objective of exploring new corporate/business banks/partnerships, including connecting with senior bank teams and presenting propositions to senior/CXO level bankers/partners/corporates.Responsible for leading the region's go-to-market strategy for business development across all existing and new to be acquired corporates/clients.Exceptional at inter-department coordination across all levels with multiple internal teams including solutions, product, marketing, legal, finance, compliance, and tech teams. Role would involve coordination for tech integrations to be completed with client/bank systems & NDA/legal agreements to be coordinated and closed with legal/compliance teams.Role involves presenting and interacting with the senior leadership team including the MD, CCO & CFO to appraise and update about business, revenues, margins, and new market development.Currently, the role will focus on RSA but will expand to other African countries in line with organization strategy and market opportunities.QUALIFICATIONS:10-15 years of experience in payments/banking/B2B/commercial cards/sales.Proven deal and track record in business development, account management & exceptional relationship management.Strong experience in consultative selling and solution development for complex client needs.Considerable experience in closing large transaction deals and proven execution; influencing and communication skills are essential.Strong business acumen required to be able to see the bigger picture, devise growth strategies for the future, and follow through with meticulous execution.A customer-centric thinker who obsesses over the needs of their customer and works toward providing a positive customer experience.Outstanding communication skills and are comfortable relaying complex technical information as well as interacting and communicating challenging information to key stakeholders internally and with the client's teams.Collaborative approach, with experience influencing cross-functional teams to drive international growth.Self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.Seniority levelExecutiveEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionBusiness Development and Sales
