What will you do? The purpose of this role is to lead IT strategy, delivery, and operations for the Group Risk and Investment business units, ensuring that technology solutions are aligned with business goals. The role focuses on delivering IT projects and services, managing risks and compliance, fostering strategic partnerships with business leaders, and driving cross-functional collaboration within an agile framework to enhance efficiency, innovation, and business outcomes. What will make you successful in this role? • IT Strategy Alignment and Execution: Ensure IT strategies are aligned with the business goals of the Group Risk and Investment business units. This includes identifying and implementing technology solutions that support growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experience in these specialized areas. • Delivery of IT Projects and Services: Lead the delivery of all IT projects and services for Group Risk and Investment, ensuring timely, on-budget completion. This includes overseeing the development, deployment, and maintenance of technology solutions that meet regulatory requirements, manage risk, and optimize investment management processes. • Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership: Act as a strategic partner to the heads of Group Risk and Investment business units, understanding their needs and challenges to offer proactive technology solutions. Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to ensure continuous alignment between IT and business priorities. • Risk Management and Compliance: Oversee IT risk management and ensure compliance with industry regulations, particularly in areas like data privacy, cybersecurity, and financial reporting. This includes developing and enforcing IT governance practices that mitigate risks in Group Risk and Investment operations while enabling innovation and agility. • Lead a Cross-Functional Team in an Agile Construct: Manage and lead cross-functional teams within an Agile framework, fostering collaboration across IT, business units, and other key stakeholders. This involves driving agile practices, ensuring iterative delivery, and adapting to changing business needs while maintaining high performance and continuous improvement within the team. Qualifications and Certifications • A degree in information technology or related fields (computer science; information science; software engineering), or a degree in Engineering with additional IT qualifications or equivalent work experience. • A relevant Agile certification (SAFE) or equivalent work experience. • Preferred - Experience in a group risk and or Investment Corporate business. • 10 – 15 years of experience leading large IT transformation programs.
