MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Agricultural Diploma/ DegreeGreenhouse management experienceAt least 4 years' experience in a similar roleFertilizer/poison & plant illness experienceIrrigation experienceComputer literateExceptional leadership and management experience, with good interpersonal communication skillsStrong leadership skills and able to motivate teamCommitment to delivering a high level of servicesValid driver's license RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Management Provide technical guidance and leadership of all production departments.Maximise the output of all production facilities through the implementation of efficient operating procedures and practicesDay to day management of greenhouse climate, fertigation strategy,Waste managementTrain junior growers to be able to manage the cropsEnsure production processes continues 7 days per week Crop ManagementMaintain effective management of all crops.Planting schedulesFertigation strategy and plant nutritionClimate management – optimum temperature & humidity controlDisease identification and preventative actionOversee day to day cultivation, pest control and harvesting activitiesEnsure adequate sanitation and hygiene procedures are in place and operationalArrange regular analysis of water and plant material to facilitate early disease identification and optimise productionOversee propagation and seedling department in terms of growing the plants.Develop and implement biological control of pest and diseases R & DResearch new varieties and growing techniques and develop systems and practices which ensure the company maintains its position at the forefront of technology and production.Evaluation of new varieties and growing techniques through scientific trialsIdentification of training needs and staff developmentEvaluate and recommend improvements to current production systems ONLY short-listed candidates will be contacted.View Synonyms and Definitions#J-18808-Ljbffr
