Provide strategic and operational support to in-country Life businesses across the SanlamAllianz portfolio to deliver sustainable & profitable new business from group, corporate and related employee benefits. This is achieved by supporting in-country corporate teams with business development, the identification of opportunities and innovative group and corporate solutions and sharing and instilling best practices guidelines. The role develops and executes on an integrated central and country specific strategy for the employee benefits sector. The role also facilitates engagements between countries, multinational brokers and other central Life functions in SanlamAllianz, such as product and operations, but also with the General Insurance business in SanlamAllianz. This is to ensure customer satisfaction, driving new business and retention of strategic and profitable business for SanlamAllianz as a whole.
What will make you successful in this role?Business Retention
• Support operating entities to embed an excellent client experience that is synonymous with SAZ client & broker expectations and our values
• Monitor renewals and deal with any multinational broker escalations
• Ensure timeous notice and upselling of products at renewal
• Engage with the central Life product team where needed on strategic clients
• Keep abreast with trends and developments of the EB industry in various countries
Other
• Engage and interact with country teams and central Life functions to support the attainment of annual targets and projections with guidance on appropriate management actions
Qualification and Experience• Relevant tertiary qualification. Post graduate qualification will be advantageous
• 10 + years financial services experience
• 10 + years experience in life insurance in employee / corporate benefits
• At least 10 years client relationship & business development experience in the employee benefits industry
• Experience of the industry and markets across Africa will be advantageous
Knowledge and Skills• An in-depth knowledge of financial markets and investments is critical
• Deep understanding of corporate and related insurance distribution channels and structures
• Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills
• A proven track record in exceptional client relationship management and business development
• High level relationship building and influencing skills
