Head Chef (Urgent)

Career Growth Hospitality Recruitment is looking for an experienced and innovative
Head Chef
to be in charge of a luxury Hotel's kitchen based in Sea Point. The successful candidate will employ its culinary and managerial skills in order to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the Hotel's customers' experience.
Responsibilities:
Full planning and designing of innovative and seasonal menus
Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise
Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
Planning and directing food preparation when necessary
Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff's performance
Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Requirements
:
Minimum of 3-4 years previous Head Chef experience in a busy and luxury Hotel/Restaurant environment (Essential)
The Head Chef must oversee daily operations, as well as delivering an extraordinary guest experience within the hotel.
Must have a passion for Food and for the kitchen.
You will plan and supervise the activities of the team to ensure, not only the smooth and profitable running of the business, but also ensuring that your team leave the world in a better place.
Food Hygiene and professional cooking qualifications (Essential)
Knowledgeable of all dietary and religious requirements.
Good knowledge of creating, implementing, and maintaining written control documents and training manuals.
Good knowledge and understanding of stock procedures and control.
Good knowledge of planning, budgeting, and departmental administration.
