Head Chef Timbavati

A 5-star lodge in Timbavati is looking for an experienced Head Chef with 5 years' experience to lead and train a kitchen team and achieve guest satisfaction in a high-end hospitality environment.Single and couple applicants will be considered for this position.
This is a live-in position.Experience required:Formal Chef QualificationAt least 3+ years Chef Experience required in 5-star hotels, lodges or at a busy restaurantProven experience as a chef with a strong background in leadership or a supervisory roleInternational exposure is a plusSpoken and written English       PAN Strat knowledge advantageousPassion for food and the food experienceAbility to run and delegate a pass during busy serviceStrong management skills, day-to-day, and long termAbility to create seasonal menus showcasing locally sourced ingredients and incorporating flavours to reflect the cultural influences of the regionDuties include:Work closely with the Executive Chef, Lodge Manager and General Manager to implement standards and staff policiesContinuous training and motivation of all kitchen staff – including on the job trainingRun and supervise the entire kitchen operation Ensure all menus are followed and food standards are excellent at all timesSupport the chefs in daily supplies ordering from the central storeContinuous monitoring and control of dishes going outMake personal contact with guests at each mealWork within operational budgetsBe flexible when receiving unexpected requests from guests and ensure you are able to accommodate unusual dietary requirements
