Head Chef Required For Wine Farm Bistro

Busy winelands family restaurant situated on a beautiful estate just outside Franschhoek is looking for a young energetic chef to help develop and maintain an uncomplicated, high quality seasonal menu and manage a small kitchen team to deliver an excellent quality consistent product.
The estate is also home to a high-class guest house and a boutique winery making handcrafted award-winning wines. The restaurant forms part of the estate and seats up to 150 guests in a relaxed, family friendly atmosphere.
This is an ideal position for a young recently qualified chef who is a self-starter and who excels when working with and developing a small team.
Minimum requirements:
Own Transport
Formal Chef/Hospitality qualifications
Excellent communication skills
Basic computer skills
Fluent in written and spoken English

Assisting stakeholders in menu development
Execution and quality control of menu developed by stakeholders
Managing costs within budget
Develop innovative ways to support wine sales
Ensure and maintain a quality vs price ratio that guarantees a following
Reports effectively and timeously
Staff Management:
Develop and train staff
Ensure staffs' appearance adheres to company standards
Ensure the look, feel and hygiene of the kitchen adheres to company standards
Ensure staff over deliver on their areas of responsibility
Lead by example and in doing so, adheres to the company rules and regulations

Stock Control and Financial Management
Accurate food stock control
