Restaurant – Knysna
Requirements:

3-5 Years previous Head Chef experience in a Restaurant environment
Food Hygiene and professional cooking qualifications (Essential)
Must be prepared to work shifts
Knowledgeable of all dietary and religious requirements
Good knowledge of planning, budgeting and departmental administration
Valid Driver's License
Must be computer literate
Must fully understand costings and how to achieve costs.
Competent when it comes to stock counts and ordering
Capable of doing weekly schedules for the kitchen brigade
Must have a good understanding of health and safety
Someone who wants to establish themselves in the garden route and build a reputation.

Description:

Systemize and streamline the kitchen – ordering stock, food preparation and presentation, timely delivery, wastage reduction, hygiene, budget control from receiving to execution.
Menu compilation and implementation.
Maintain and exceed established standards of food hygiene, cleaning and food handling to ensure compliance with current legislation.
Effective Kitchen Administration to minimize shortages and wastage, assuming full responsibility for any variances.
Prepare budgets and aim to achieve budgeted gross profit.

Package on offer:
R 25 – R28k pm.
Starting Date: ASAP.
