Job Title: Head ChefLocation: HoedspruitSummary:The Head Chef plays a pivotal role in creating and developing menus, overseeing the preparation of all food items to ensure they meet high-quality standards.
This includes adhering to recipes and restaurant standards while managing the entire kitchen operation.
Additionally, the Head Chef is responsible for organizing and coordinating the work of other chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff to maintain an efficient workflow.Qualifications:A relevant tertiary qualification in culinary arts or a related fieldStrong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practicesExperience:Chef experience in a similar environment (five-star lodge)Experience in preparing fine dining five-star cuisine as well as special requirements such as kosher foodResponsibilities:Actively running a shift and producing high-quality mealsMaintaining and improving the culinary experience for guestsMenu planning for guests as well as staff membersMaintaining and improving food and health safety procedures and standardsManaging and overseeing staffStaff training and developmentAll administrative duties pertaining to the kitchen and employeesAttributes:Mature and responsible individual with excellent communication skillsA strong leader who exudes confidence and calm in the work environmentA positive and proactive individual who encourages teamwork and collaborationPassionate about training and development, with excellent problem-solving skillsExcellent guest interaction skills and sober habitsEstimated Salary: R250,000 - R350,000 per annum
