DescriptionOur client in the Hospitality industry based in Grahamstown is currently looking to employ a Head Chef.Requirements:Live in position.21 days on 7 days off work cycle.Shift Work - The position requires the chef to prepare meals when on shift for guests - It is not a supervisory role only.Relevant culinary qualification required.Minimum 3 years in a similar position.Costing experience essential.Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:Managing day-to-day kitchen operations.Food preparation, cooking, and presentation.Creating and costing menus in line with guest preferences and seasonal availability.Supervising and coordinating the work of all kitchen staff.Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, including food hygiene and storage.Monitoring food costs, minimising wastage, and maintaining kitchen profitability.Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
