Head Chef - Franschhoek

Wellness Retreat and Hotel close to Franschhoek is looking for a Head Chef. The menus will focus on produce from the garden where the daily harvest will be used to make nourishing meal centered around seasonal vegetables, with protein as a side. Food will be fresh, healthy, abundant, and flavorful.
The Chef will work in collaboration with visiting chefs from across the world.
You will be implementing daily menus aligned with our philosophy, making full use of the garden produce.
Implementing and Creating Menus aligned to the property's philosophies
Communication with the Garden Team regarding available produce and harvesting.
The ability to be innovative and flexible with menu changes according to guest dietaries.
Delivering excellent food and service.
Ability to multitask and be organized.

Excellent listening and communication skills.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in the industry and be comfortable with interacting with guests. Possibly welcoming them into the kitchen to share some of the cooking experience at the farm
You should hold a calm presence under pressure.
Ability to communicate well with both kitchen, and front of house team members.
Having a love and knowledge for plant-based cooking is important and an interest in or understanding of medicinal herbs is a plus.
