Head Chef - Franschhoek

Looking for passionate and experienced chef to join the team in the open kitchen, the heart of this beautiful 5* retreat. The menus focus on produce from the garden where the chefs harvest daily to make a nourishing meal centered around seasonal vegetables, with protein as a side. The food is fresh, healthy, abundant, and flavorful, bringing together the colors of each season.
As a chef you will be implementing daily menus aligned with the philosophy, making full use of the garden produce. Having a love and knowledge for plant-based cooking is important and an interest in or understanding of medicinal herbs is a plus.
Areas of responsibility include:

Communication with the Garden Team regarding available produce and harvesting.

The ability to be innovative and flexible with menu changes according to guest dietaries.

Delivering excellent food and service.

Ability to multitask and be organized.

Excellent listening and communication skills.
