Job Description:

Controlling and directing food preparation, including creating detailed menus and recipe costing.
Conducting inventory management and generate weekly and monthly profitability reports.
Training staff on new menu items and oversee quality and timely delivery of dishes.
Delegating tasks, creating daily duty rosters and developing training plans for kitchen staff.
Supervising cooks, assisting as needed, and ensuring attractive plate presentation.
Accommodating dietary requirements, plan menus accordingly, and uphold the 70% vegetarian/vegan ratio.
Ensuring ingredient quality control, ethical sourcing, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

Several years relevant experience
Culinary diploma and or degree
Fluent in English
Cooking, leadership and organisational skills and business acumen
Enthusiastic about food and have an innovative and creative approach
Willingness to relocate to Bethlehem, in the Free State
Willingness to work extended hours and weekends.
Great affinity to animal welfare and vision and mission
