This includes defining the value proposition vision and strategy, driving the refinement of target segments and target client journeys, understanding client needs, and resolving challenges in the end-to-end value chain. The role also involves driving participation at industry-level bodies within the payments ecosystem.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelopment and refinement of the end-to-end strategy for the Card Individual Issuing covering financial and non-financial (beyond banking) needsAnalyse international and local market trends, changes in market/client needs, competitors' strategies, and internal value delivery systems to find unmet client needs, value opportunities, and areas for improvement.Develop and refine the Card Issuing strategy considering external and internal factors in consultation with stakeholders across the value chain and in alignment with overall cluster and enterprise strategies.Communicate vision and strategy effectively within and outside the organisation to gain buy-in and assure effective execution.Advise and consult on segments by providing professional solutions that meet segment business needs and solve potential value gaps in the segments' value chain.End-to-end management and accountability for the Card Individual Issuing businessEnsure required client value and client experience is delivered effectively and efficiently according to agreed Service Level Agreements, operational level agreements, contractual agreements, and project scopes, schedules, and budgets.Identify shortcomings in the value delivery system and drive their resolution through responsible areas.Report on current and past performance in delivering the value proposition and progress of change initiatives at various forums, including P&L and risk management.Serve as the specialist for Card Individual Issuing within the organisation.Drive the realisation of the Card Individual Issuing strategyIdentify and size opportunities, conceptualise required change initiatives, and draft business cases.Ensure that change initiatives realise intended business value and are delivered with a short time-to-market and within budget.Identify potential local and international partners for delivering the strategy and establish strong relationships.Pilot and test new solutions in the market with internal teams and external partners.Drive the commercialisation of new solutions into the market.Essential Qualifications - NQF LevelMatric / Grade 12 / National Senior CertificateAdvanced Diplomas/National 1st DegreesPreferred Qualifications• MSc, MBA• MMP / SMP / MM or equivalent• Post graduate management qualificationMinimum Experience Level• 10+ years of experience, including 5-7 years in leadership roles.• Demonstrated experience in product development, product management, or innovation consulting.• Exceptional understanding of card issuing.• Strong experience in understanding and analysing market trends, competitors, opportunities, and technology developments related to card issuing.• Deep understanding of payments and processes.• Experience with and confidence in delivering presentations to clients and senior executives up to board level.• Proven track record in identifying opportunities for partnerships and alliances to drive innovative business solutions.• Ability to build relationships and influence in a cross-functional/matrix structure.Technical / Professional KnowledgePayments and Card IssuingBudgetingBusiness administration and managementChange managementClient service managementCommunication Strategies for frontline up to senior executive levelDiversity managementGovernance, Risk and ControlsPrinciples of project managementRelevant regulatory knowledgeStakeholder managementStrategic planningBusiness writing skillsManagement information and reporting principles, tools, and mechanismsInfluencing others and hyper collaborationVery high awareness of self and othersBehavioural CompetenciesBuilding PartnershipsCommunicationCustomer FocusDecision MakingContinuous ImprovementGuiding Sales Opportunities---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Please contact the Nedbank Recruiting Team at +27 860 555 566
