PURPOSE:
The Head of Business Development is crucial in driving growth and expansion by identifying and developing solutions and partnerships. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to lead the business development function and drive strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with company objectives. Assess market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and emerging markets. Analyze data for decision-making.Client Relationship Management and Consulting: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. Understand needs and offer solutions.New Business Acquisition: Lead efforts to acquire new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and lead generation. Develop tailored proposals and pitches.Partnership Development: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with complementary businesses and industry associations.Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, mentor, and motivate a high-performing business development team.Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish KPIs to track business development activities. Review and analyze performance metrics regularly.Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to align business development initiatives with company objectives.QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE: Relevant computer literacy capabilityBachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field; MBA preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)EXPERIENCE: Experience in Banking, Payments, and financial services industry15+ years' relevant experienceOperational & Regulatory knowledge of financial services industryProven success in business development or related roles, preferably in a B2B environmentStrong strategic thinking and analytical skillsExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsLeadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate a teamResults-oriented mindset with a focus on revenue growthAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
