Head Baker (MP) Cape Town As the Head Baker , youwillplay a crucial role in upholding the highest hospitality standards in the bakery and pastry department of our restaurants and banqueting outlets.
You will manage the bakery, ensuring that the culinary service standards are met, and conduct training with staff to meet the standards and manage staff's performance and conduct.
Part of your role will be to contribute to the planning of food menu offerings, including costings, estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food, ensure kitchen stations are prepped, stocked, and run efficiently during service, and monitor and maintain the guest experience by ensuring that every one of our guests receives personalised attention and experiences every time.
With at least 5 years' experience in a similar role in a busy, up-market establishment, you have a proven track record of leadership and the use of kitchen technology.
You demonstrate flexibility and a neat, professional appearance at all times.
Your excellent communication skills will convey culinary knowledge and product expertise related to our hotel and its competitors.
Your team leadership and mentorship abilities will foster a collaborative environment, ensuring food and hygiene safety standards adherence.
