Hatch is on the lookout for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Greenstone Hill, Johannesburg. As our manifesto states, we engage great people who make a difference - does this describe you?
The successful incumbent should be knowledgeable in the regulatory and code compliances and dually capable in ensuring the mechanical design deliverables are of a high quality standard. Furthermore, the Senior Mechanical Engineer responsibilities will extend to the preparation, review and approval of system requirements, functional analyses, the mechanical and layout design criteria, mechanical engineering and design standards, engineering calculations, technical specifications, data sheets, and reports. The candidate should be capable of representing the mechanical practice in engineering and coordination meetings, coordinate and participate in design reviews, and review mechanical layout designs in 3D design tools.
You bring to the role: 10+ years' experience, with experience in Copper Concentration plants or as a minimum has experience designing Flotation plantsRegistration as a Professional Engineer with ECSABSc/B.Eng degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentSound knowledge of the applicable codes and standards and the relevant sections of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutionsDon't meet every single requirement?
