Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.About the roleAs a Hardware Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and validating Plentify's hardware products. These hardware products will range from customer facing products, to internal tools and automated production testing systems. You will work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, ensuring that designs align with both technical and performance goals.Your primary responsibilities will include designing hardware products based on the specified requirements, validating the product to ensure it meets the requirements and working with the operational and financial teams to source components at production quantities.Qualifications and skills? Very high attention to detail, structured and creative problem solver, and strong communicator? Comfortable working independently within a flexible development process? Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering? 2+ years of hardware development experience, including experience with the following:Required:? Experience with schematic capture and PCB Layout tools? Knowledge of both analog and digital discrete circuit design? Familiarity with hardware validation and testing processes, including the use of lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)? Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot hardware issues? Ability to work independently and manage time effectively? Collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams? Experience with low-level embedded programming languages and techniques to aid in hardware validationNice to have or willing to learn:? Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards and certifications (e.g., ICASA, SABS, RoHS etc)? Prior experience in rapid prototyping and working with external manufacturers?
