Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and repair work, including building upkeep, painting and plumbing.
Conduct routine facility inspections to identify and address issues.
Maintain and install light fittings.
Paint and repair gaps or crevices on walls and sidewalks.
Undertake basic cabinetry work as needed.
Repair equipment and appliances, including basic electrical and plumbing tasks.
Identify and report the need for major repairs.
Repair furniture, doors, and windows.
Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
Ensure timely and effective completion of all tasks.
Maintain the general appearance of grounds and buildings.
Ensure safety by managing equipment and materials appropriately.
Carry out any additional reasonable tasks assigned by management.
Driving to purchase building maintenance equipment/items
Handle general ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements:
Matric or equivalent qualification.
Fluency in English.
Valid driver's license.
Sober habits.
Clear criminal and credit record.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills.
Hands-on problem-solving approach and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Honest, trustworthy, and detail-oriented.
Presentable and well-spoken.
Team player who leads by example.
Proactive and possesses excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of maintenance/handyman experience, including painting, tiling, plumbing, and electrical work.
Skills:
Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems.
Competence in using common power and hand tools safely.
Competencies:
Ability to follow job and safety instructions.
Capable of working without supervision.
Strong time management skills.
