Repairs (40%) Diagnose root causes of failures and implement corrective actions promptly.
Execute carpentry, building, roofing, and facilities repairs to ensure minimal operational disruptions.
Apply technical and engineering standards for optimal maintenance and repairs.
Complete maintenance job cards and document all work (e.g., Shop Ware).
Collaborate with Production teams to proactively address potential problems and support planned maintenance.
Provide detailed reports on repair activities to the Quality Assurance Engineer.
Indicators: Timely root cause analysis and defect resolution.
Minimized equipment downtime.
Production support provided with positive feedback.
Quality standards maintained and documented.

Maintenance (20%) Perform routine inspections and necessary maintenance activities.
Coordinate with Supervisors/Production for scheduled maintenance.
Ensure parts availability for efficient maintenance execution.
Compile reports for Quality Assurance on unusual conditions.

Section B: Job Specifications Qualifications Minimum: Grade 12 Certificate (NQF 4) Handyman Training Courses Advantageous: Experience with Facilities Management companies.
Experience Minimum: Up to 3 years of technical, maintenance, and facilities experience as a Handyman in a manufacturing environment.
Advantageous: Prior employment in Facilities Management.
