Half Day Bookkeeper

We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, and receipts. Our ideal candidate holds a Bookkeeping qualification and is familiar with the SAGE accounting software package.RESPONSIBILITIES:Processing customer and supplier tax invoicesAllocating amounts received/paid from SAGE bank account to relevant customer/supplier accountsAllocating amounts in customer/supplier accounts to relevant invoicesContacting suppliers regarding any outstanding invoices/statements/credit notes and diarising for follow-up purposesContacting suppliers regarding any arrear payments and diarising for follow-up purposesEmails statements/invoices as required or requested by customers/suppliersProviding the CEO with suppliers and customers balance outstanding report on the last day of every month, as well as on the 7th of each new monthCalculating customer discounts/adjustments and updating SAGE with these amountsAccessing various payment systems (e.g., Paygate, Payflex, Payfast, Yoco, Snapscan), calculating and updating SAGE with the vendor fees in order to balance the various accountsCapturing statements in the required format as stipulated by customers and uploading the statements on the relevant B2B portals.EXPERIENCE:MUST reside in the southern suburbs of Cape TownPrior retail experience is crucial – must understand discounts, rebates, allocations, etc.Online retail sales experience is advantageousWorking knowledge and experience in SAGE accountingJob Type: Full-timePay: Up to R11000,00 per monthEducation:Diploma (Preferred)
