Halaal Cdp Pastry Chef

VACANT POSITION – Halaal CDP / Pastry Chef
Misty Hills Country Hotel, Conference Centre & Spa requires the services of a Halaal CDP/Pastry Chef.
The incumbent needs to have at least 5 years experience in a similar role and able to coordinate full Halaal CDP Chef function. The responsibilities will include:
• To ensure that all stocks are kept under optimum conditions.
• To ensure that all mise-en-place is always freshly prepared and on time.
• To ensure that all dishes are being prepared to the correct recipe and to the correct quantity.
• To ensure that his section is being kept clean and tidy at all times.
• To ensure that any anticipated shortages are communicated promptly to the sous chef or head chef.
• To ensure that no horseplay is allowed in his section and that all staff under his control are treated fairly and with courtesy.
• To deputise in the sous chef's absence and take charge of the kitchen when directed to do so.
• To attend training courses and seminars as and when required.

Minimum Requirements:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Work well in a stressful environment
• Familiar with hospitality industry standards
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Qualification from a culinary school, with a Halaal CDP/Pastry Chef Certificate
• Past experience working in a similar role, Halaal CDP/Pastry Chef
• Ability to work well in a team
• Knowledge of best practices for safety and sanitation
• Passion for delivering great food and service
• Multitasking and organizational ability


Nominal Salary: To be agreed
