Your opportunity:
The Office of the Vice Dean, Research & Health Science Education oversees all research undertaken for the Temerty Faculty of Medicine and coordinates with its counterparts at the affiliated hospital research institutes for clinical research. This includes grant proposal development, administering internal funding allocations, collecting and reporting on research productivity metrics, and managing core research facilities.

As the H2i Strategic Communications Officer, you will play an integral role in implementing marketing and advertising plans to increase uptake of programs and activities relevant to health innovation and knowledge mobilization. You will work closely with the H2i Director and other stakeholders to produce communication and outreach materials that support partnership and commercialization initiatives. You will also be responsible for supporting data analysis and metrics to assess and report on programs offered by H2i both domestic and international to strengthen and grow the program and to benchmark annual performance. You will also support workshops, events and pitch competitions offered through H2i and their partners. Additionally, you will play an important role in implementing a digital media and communications plan that will elevate the broader impact of our work. Your exceptional communication skills and creativity will enable you to shape compelling content to optimize the H2i footprint.
Your responsibilities will include: Implementing marketing and advertising plans to increase revenue-generating activities for H2iImplementing community relations outreach plans for target audiences (i.e., Research Hospitals)Advising on branding, marketing, and advertising strategies for multimedia channels to boost revenue-generating activitiesProducing, advising, and editing promotional and outreach materials (i.e., brochures, newsletters, websites) while ensuring alignment to university brand identity and style guidesConceptualizing, organizing, and executing event activities including establishing event logistics and conducting post-event evaluation and analysisResearching potential prospects and target markets for outreach collaborations, and fostering networks for collaboration opportunitiesBuilding and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance and generating strategic reports through metric tracking and data consolidationProviding administrative support where needed and serving as the first point of contact for H2i inquiries and advising clients on options available to themEssential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.Minimum four years of relevant experience in communications in a university, hospital, or comparable complex multi-stakeholder environmentExperience implementing communication strategies and plans for commercialization and partnership initiatives in health innovationExperience implementing marketing/advertising plansDemonstrated ability to create concise, effective written content, drawing from interviews with sources as well as translation of clinical and scientific materials for lay audiencesExperience producing promotional and outreach materials for a highly-visible and complex organizationExperience conceptualizing, organizing, and executing events including conducting post-event evaluation and analysesExperience building and maintaining strategic partnerships with internal and external parties, including news reporters and media contactsDemonstrated experience with various social media platforms including but not limited to LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter/X, Facebook, and TikTok.Experience providing administrative support and serving as a first point of contact for health innovation program delivery including managing innovation data tools such as CRMsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Creative SuiteA creative, resourceful and solutions-oriented self-starter possessing the ability to work independently in a high-profile, time-sensitive environment while balancing competing prioritiesTo be successful in this role you will be: ArticulateOrganizedProactiveSelf-directedClosing Date: 11/08/2024, 11:59PM ET
