Your moment to be exceptional has arrived at The Rees Hotel, Queenstown!As one of the first points of contact for the hotel, you will be customer service driven and enjoy exceeding guests' expectations. You will be proactive with a professional approach to guests. We're looking for outstanding communication skills and impeccable grooming standards.Shift work involves a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends and public holidays.In order to apply for this position, you must hold a valid work visa to enable you to legally work in New Zealand.Responsibilities includeProviding guests with the services and facilities they request in a friendly, professional and responsive mannerMeeting and greeting all guests on arrival and departure, ensuring their schedules are well-understood and well-communicated with the purpose of delighting them at every opportunityPerforming prompt and efficient check in and check out proceduresOffering baggage assistance to all arriving and departing guestsEfficiently and accurately executing all guest requests, activities and restaurant bookingsProcessing, amending and invoicing accommodation reservationsDriving hotel vehicles and ensuring guest travel/transport arrangements are in place as requiredSkills, Experience and AttributesOne year's front of house experience in hospitality or similar environmentFood and beverage service experience would be beneficialValid and current full driver licence essentialPassenger Endorsement Licence an advantageAccommodation reservations experience would be beneficialPositive attitude and lots of initiativeSuperior verbal and written communication ability with an emphasis on accuracyA second language is highly desirableEnjoy working the various shifts including public holidaysBenefits and RewardsFull-time, permanent role with minimum of 30 hours per week guaranteedRate of pay from $26.50 per hourUniform items providedDuty mealsFree parkingAccess to promotional product training of excursions in the surrounding regionSustainability is at the forefront of how we work, with a strong environmental and social sustainability programmeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeWellbeing initiatives
