Key Responsibilities Protect Sibanye-Stillwater resources through: Access control, guarding, observation, and patrolling.
Inspecting buildings and infrastructure to identify and address risks.
Ensure access is only granted to legitimate employees, contractors, and visitors by: Executing approved Access Control Procedures .
Verifying identity and employee status.
Conduct patrols (foot or vehicle) in designated risk areas.
Ensure safety for Sibanye-Stillwater employees and visitors by following developed protocols and procedures.
Participate in: Crowd facilitation when needed.
First-line reaction to crime incidents.
Provide professional and friendly security services by: Controlling entrances for people and vehicles.
Conducting searches as per procedures.
Reporting suspicious behavior and potential problems to supervisors and requesting backup if necessary.
Requirements Qualifications and Requirements To be eligible, you must: Possess a National Senior Certificate .
Have PSIRA Grade C registration with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) .
Have 3+ years of experience in a high-risk security environment.
Demonstrate strong communication skills, with proficiency in English (verbal and written, including report writing).
Hold a valid driver's license and have the ability to drive a vehicle.
Possess a firearm competency certificate issued by SAPS as per the Firearm Control Act (Act 60 of 2000) or be able to obtain one for handgun, shotgun, self-loading rifle, or carbine use.
Exhibit a self-assured, disciplined approach with analytical skills.
Provide proof of South African citizenship .
Be able to work in a team, be results-oriented, and willing to work shifts.
Successfully undergo: Pre-employment psychological screening assessment.
Screening, verification, credit, and criminal record checks.
Medical and risk-based assessments at the Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.
Physical and Functional Work Capacity (PFWC) assessments from a formal Job Risk Analysis.
Advantageous Qualifications : Certifications in: Crowd control management .
Tactical firearm, defense, and restrain techniques .
Advanced driving skills .
Certification for business purposes in handling handguns, shotguns, self-loading rifles, or carbines.
