To build sustainable key relationships across all channels, product houses, and segments.Summary: Cash Investments – Private Segment - Growth Manager - Job Specification We are looking for an individual who can collaborate with stakeholders from multiple disciplines inside the organisation, as well as suppliers, to help design, produce, and direct the distribution of client-centric retail savings and cash investment solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of client needs within the specific business unit's range of offerings, as well as a larger Invest Pillar and integrated financial services context. The successful candidate will be part of overall Hyper-segment (Salaried and Self-Employed individuals) and Niche segment (e.g., Graduates and Young Professionals, etc.) value propositions, ensuring optimised client benefit while maintaining sustainable returns for the Business Unit, Segment, Division, and Group. The ideal candidate will naturally promote and display a healthy balance between ambitious self-development and the advancement of the team and business unit's growth.
The role involves establishing and maintaining stakeholder management across internal and external stakeholders. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including internal Cash Investments stakeholders such as Finance, Pricing and Analytics, Channel/Sales/Distribution, Enablement, Product Design and Maintenance, Legal, Risk & Compliance, Marketing, Client Value Management, Client Experience, and Operations. Close collaboration with relevant business units and product houses is essential to identify revenue opportunities. As a subject matter expert in all Retail Cash Investments products and services, the individual will act as the single point of contact for their portfolio in Cash Investments to relevant stakeholders. Building and sustaining collaborative working relationships with stakeholders to achieve productive synergies are crucial.
The role also includes developing and formulating medium to long-term growth strategies and objectives across various aspects. The individual will communicate a meaningful strategic context that articulates the multi-functional purpose in support of our overall strategic objectives. They will configure and balance resources, resolve competing requirements, allow for contingencies, and identify partners to achieve long-term objectives by collaborating with other functional areas. Ensuring organisational commitment and obtaining sufficient time, energy and engagement investment for the function to achieve its objectives is key.
In terms of planning, the individual will develop and collaborate with internal Channel representatives to ensure execution of strategic as well as tactical sales drives to enhance balance growth and other key performance indicators (KPIs). They will identify and shape new growth opportunities to enhance the existing investment book and generate balance growth through value proposition (VP) enhancements. Contributing to the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of competitions or campaigns aimed at increasing sales is part of the role. The individual will coordinate and manage the VP sales pipelines of the different channels and make adjustments based on internal organisational and external market changes.
Delivering solutions and services that exceed customer expectations through proactive, innovative, and appropriate solution selection and application is essential. The role also involves developing strategies across multi-distribution channels to gain market share and increase balance growth. Continuous assessment and streamlining of processes to reduce costs and enhance user experience for frontline staff and clients are necessary. Governance and compliance are also critical aspects of the role.

Governance and Compliance (Ethical Practices) requires supporting the implementation of relevant policies, governance, and practice standards across the business. It involves making informed decisions that prioritise both customer satisfaction and sustainable growth, complying with legislative and audit requirements such as Market Conduct and Treating Customers Fairly, and upholding the highest ethical standards in all growth-related activities.
Compliance and Risk Management entails handling customer complaints and queries ethically, fostering trust through transparent interactions, staying informed about legislative amendments and industry best practices, and implementing compliance procedures while managing risk. It also includes maintaining and fostering ethical dealings with customers during complaint and query resolution.
Sales Monitoring and Reporting involves monitoring and tracking sales targets and adjusting solutions accordingly. This includes compiling monthly tracking of delivery against agreed targets, managing data and performance reporting, and ensuring costs or expenses are managed within the approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies.

Required Skills and Experience include strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation abilities, and proficiency in advanced Excel for data analysis. A strong understanding and interpretation of data are essential. Experience in strategic development and execution, the ability to support multiple projects and meet deadlines in line with business strategic objectives, and over ten (10) years of work experience, with the majority in the financial services industry, are required. A relevant commercial degree in fields such as B (Comm, Information Management, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Financial Management, Engineering, Informatics) is necessary, with an Honours or Master's degree preferable. Proficiency in presenting to Executives at Exco, Manco, Regional sessions, and other governance forums is also required.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to undergo Psychological Assessments. Skills Assessments may include participation in timed Case Studies.
