Qwili is a young, fast-growing company based in Cape Town that is in the process of expanding its team as it scales rapidly and enters a new phase of growth. The Growth Lead will be joining the company at a time when maintaining rapid growth and improving the quality of our user base and revenue are essential. The responsibilities of the Growth Lead are geared towards delivering quality revenue growth in their designated business functions as well as strong user growth. They will work mostly with the user acquisitions and general merchandise teams.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and executing well-researched, data driven, and detailed strategies aimed at growth across relevant business functions, namely, user acquisition and general merchandise sales and distribution.Ensuring that relevant departments achieve core user and revenue growth targets.Developing and implementing effective user retention strategies.Defining strategies and business plans for rollouts to new regions within South Africa.Supervising and overseeing the activities of relevant teams towards achieving key objectives.Submitting regular reports to the director in charge of growth outlining performance.Inter-departmental collaboration with other teams in the business, including marketing, product, finance and customer support.Build and manage relationships with key service providers.Experience and Key CompetenciesThree-year tertiary qualification in business, marketing, social sciences, or related fields.Minimum of four years' sales, marketing, business development and/or user acquisition experience.Procurement, sourcing and/or supply chain experience a plus.Strong analytical ability. Able to synthesise findings from raw data.Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
