Your responsibilities include coordinating with various departments and suppliers, managing group tour administration and individual bookings, and ensuring timely, detailed, and professional communication with clients and suppliers.
You will oversee the operations of small group tours and bespoke FIT travel, aiming to build strong professional relationships and deliver memorable travel experiences.
Upholding and promoting our company's brand identity, vision, and mission is crucial in this role.Minimum Requirements:We're looking for an experienced Senior Group Tours Consultant with the following qualifications:Extensive knowledge of fares, reissues, and refunds.At least 8 years of experience with Amadeus or other GDS systems.
(Preferable)Exceptional administrative skills and a strong understanding of relationship building with clients and suppliers.Strong sales skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both Afrikaans and English, written and spoken.Ability to work independently, while coordinating effectively with the team and adhering to company SOPs and brand identity.Honesty and high ethical standards.Flexibility to travel occatonally if needed.Willingness to do after hours emergency work on a rotational basisDuties and Responsibilities:Company and Product Knowledge:Ensure consistent, impeccable professional service delivery with meticulous attention to detail.Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Seagull Travel and Tours' services and products.Uphold company policies and procedures to minimize losses and errors.Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines and maintain high quality and productivity.Follow instructions from the owner, stakeholders, and clients.Customer Relations:Provide exceptional customer service through confident and clear communication.Make all clients feel welcome, whether over the phone or in person.Adopt a positive, can-do attitude and resolve customer complaints efficiently.Sales:Engage with clients to understand their travel preferences and requirements.Offer personalized recommendations and alternatives based on client needs and budget.Follow up with potential clients via phone and email.Record and track inquiries and sales.Maximize revenue through upselling and promoting products and services.Provide detailed and accurate quotations and travel information.Ensure timely confirmation of bookings and meticulous record-keeping.Travel Planning and Administration:Accurately record and process all reservations and service requests.Book and coordinate all relevant services (flights, transfers, accommodation, excursions).Maintain thorough records and communication throughout the planning and booking process.Address travel-related inquiries, changes, and issues promptly.Ensure special requests and billing arrangements are recorded and communicated accurately.Operations:Assemble and verify final travel documents, ensuring accuracy.Prepare tour leader files and coordinate final details before travel.Check in with tour leaders daily to resolve issues promptly.Request and forward social media content from tour leaders.Communicate with clients post-travel to ensure satisfaction and provide feedback.Industry Knowledge:Stay updated with travel industry trends, special rates, promotions, and emerging destinations.Familiarize yourself with various travel products, including tours, cruises, and insurance.Develop and maintain a strong network of industry contacts.
