Principal Accountabilities• Provide excellent customer service throughout the booking process, addressing any concerns or enquiries promptly and professionally• Employ sales techniques in order to secure and process invoices for guests in a timely manner• Build and maintain relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and provide regular reports to management• Quote and setup new group requests in the system (BEE)• Responding to incoming quotes and emails within a 24 turnaround time• Manage group bookings from A-Z , including but not limited to chasing payments, balancing and completing legal requirements• Update groups with changes and additions as needed• Manage Charter and Theme cruises• Book and manage International Group Bookings• Manage special projects that may arise• Perform other duties as assigned on an ad-hoc basis• Manage Admin duties daily such as the below, but not limited to:Quotes / ConfirmationsPayment ChasingRoom listsDPP FormsContractsEmailsKey Skills and CompetenciesThe ideal candidate will have a strong customer service background, great attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and is self-motivated.• Experience: Previous experience in sales, preferably in the travel industry or cruise sector, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.• Knowledge: Familiarity with cruise products, destinations, and industry trends.
Knowledge of different types of cruise ships, cabin categories, and onboard amenities is advantageous.• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively engaging with clients• Customer Focus: Strong customer service orientation with the ability to anticipate and fulfil the needs of large group clients.• Organizational Skills: Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple client inquiries, bookings, and administrative tasks efficiently.• Attention to Detail: Attention to detail in creating customized cruise packages and preparing accurate proposals and documentation.• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from various departments to achieve sales objectives and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Salesmanship: Strong persuasion and selling skills with the ability to influence potential clients and close deals effectively.• Computer Skills: Proficiency in using sales software, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Word• Minimum 2 years' experience in the same or similar role
