Highly experienced Group Revenue Manager required for a hotel group based in Sandton, with properties in Gauteng, Cape Town and KZN.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Group Revenue Manager to join our clients dynamic team. This role will oversee the revenue management strategies for multiple properties within the BlackBrick portfolio. The primary objective is to optimize room revenue, enhance occupancy rates, and develop pricing models that align with market demand. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in revenue management across multiple properties, with the ability to analyze data, forecast trends, and implement strategic pricing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive revenue management strategies to maximize room revenue across all BlackBrick properties, ensuring optimal occupancy and Average Daily Rate (ADR) performance.
Dynamic Pricing Models: Develop dynamic pricing models based on market trends, historical data, competitor analysis, and demand patterns. Continuously adjust these models to remain competitive and in line with business goals.
Forecasting and Budgeting: Provide accurate forecasts for room revenue, occupancy, and RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room) for multiple properties. Work closely with the finance team to align these forecasts with broader financial objectives and budgeting processes.
Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze key revenue performance indicators (KPIs), including occupancy rates, ADR, RevPAR, and booking patterns. Use these insights to recommend adjustments to pricing strategies and distribution channels.
Channel Management: Oversee distribution strategy across all channels, including Online Travel Agents (OTAs), Global Distribution Systems (GDS), and direct bookings through the BlackBrick website. Ensure rate parity across all platforms.
Collaboration with Sales and Marketing: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align promotional strategies and campaigns with revenue goals. Provide input on marketing campaigns, special offers, and packages to maximize revenue potential.
Market and Competitor Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of local and regional market conditions, including competitor pricing and occupancy trends. Use this data to inform pricing decisions and long-term revenue strategies.
Training and Mentoring: Provide training and guidance to property-level revenue managers and other relevant staff on revenue management tools, best practices, and strategies to ensure alignment across all properties.
System Optimization: Optimize the use of revenue management systems (RMS), property management systems (PMS), and channel managers to improve operational efficiency and enhance data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification. A degree or diploma in hospitality management, business, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in revenue management within the hospitality industry, preferably with experience managing revenue for multiple properties.
In-depth knowledge of revenue management systems (RMS), property management systems (PMS), and channel distribution platforms (OTAs, GDS).
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful revenue management strategies that have improved ADR, occupancy, and overall revenue performance.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and forecast trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with sales, marketing, and finance teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and properties simultaneously.
