Key Responsibilities:
Develop tools and models to provide enhanced insights and analyses in respect of Group & business unit profitability.
Work with business unit Finance Business Partners and central finance teams to analyze and solve retail finance problem statements.
Collaborate with and provide finance support to business unit Finance Business Partners.
Develop and take responsibility for financial modelling in respect of organic and inorganic growth opportunities.
Develop and maintain standards and financial models for business cases, feasibilities, capital planning, capital allocation and post-implementation reviews.
Engage with the business on cost optimization and capital efficiencies and drive improved Group and business unit financial performance by developing tools that identify the drivers of shareholder value e.g., GMROI, ROCE, etc.
Implement a Group overhead cost allocation model to more accurately determine fully costed shareholder value (return on capital) drivers and enable more effective and efficient capital allocation decisions.
Take responsibility for the maintenance and ongoing development of the 3-year corporate model and develop a scenario planning capability.
Play an active and accountable role to help deliver the successful implementation of a new ERP system.
Develop and manage standardized store profitability reporting, including direct and overhead cost allocations.
Assist the Finance Planning & Performance Executive to deliver a strategic support capability within business units across all aspects of decision-making to enhance shareholder value, including:
To drive performance and working capital management through identifying drivers of business unit ROCE.
To improve Group investment (capital allocation) analysis and oversight processes.
To introduce a formal PIR process for allocated capital.
Provide support to the Finance Planning & Performance team to deliver accurate and insightful Group budgets, projections and month-end reporting.
Manage Group strategic initiatives to drive cost optimization and working capital efficiencies through the implementation of measurement tools.
Provide services and support for Group centralization strategies.
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualified CA (SA)
5 Years' experience in Senior Finance role at senior finance level
5 Years' experience in planning and budgeting
