About our client: Our client is a global analytics and digital solutions company serving industries including insurance, healthcare, banking and financial services, media, retail, and others. About the role: The Group IT NOC Network Engineer position is a key support role in the Infrastructure team, requiring a strong understanding of network infrastructure. The position is responsible for monitoring the performance and capacity of LAN, WAN and wireless at their locations worldwide. Overseeing and troubleshooting problems and responding to network issues. Tracking issues as they arise and providing incident reports. Configure network hardware and support UC and Telephony systems. Package: Up to R40000/Month Responsibilities: Monitor IT networks and responding to alerts and hardware malfunctions.Support troubleshooting problems as required on the LAN, Wireless, Voice and WAN networks.Create and maintain dashboards highlighting performance issues and compiling LAN and WAN incident reports.Perform regular checks on network hardware and software, audit network configurations and report findings.Coordinate and oversee support with external service partners.Communicate with site technicians, third parties and management for prompt issue resolution.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in related field and/or 2+ years of experience in a NOC environment and familiarity with monitoring and ITSM tools.Knowledge of service design, network configuration, and business impact of events and symptoms.Expertise in monitoring tools, ITSM tools, backup, and DR tools (HP Aruba, SolarWinds, ServiceNow).Fundamental knowledge of networking technologies (ex: Switching, Routing, Wireless and Voice).Excellent problem-solving skills and keen ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.Knowledge of incident models, diagnostic tools, methods. Must be highly self-motivated, self-directed, and able to guide technical personnel.Ability to analyse complex problems, determine root causes and implement correctiveaction. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
