Group Hr Manager

Group HR Manager – Luxury Hotels, Cape Town & Johannesburg
A luxury hotel group with properties in Cape Town and Johannesburg is seeking an experienced and driven Group HR Manager to lead and establish the HR department. This is a senior role, responsible for overseeing all HR functions across both hotels and setting up the department from the ground up, including creating and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities:

Set up and manage the full HR department, including recruitment, training, payroll, employee relations, and performance management.
Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and SOPs to align with industry standards.
Oversee compliance with labour laws and regulations in all HR practices.
Lead talent acquisition efforts and ensure effective onboarding and training programmes.
Manage employee development initiatives, fostering a positive workplace culture.
Advise senior management on HR best practices and provide strategic input on organisational development.
Handle employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures.
Conduct regular audits of HR processes and ensure continuous improvement.

Requirements:

A minimum of 4 years' recent experience in a senior HR role, within the hospitality industry.
Proven experience in setting up HR functions and implementing policies and SOPs.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work independently.
Excellent knowledge of South African labour laws and regulations.
Must have a valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
South African citizen, based in Cape Town or Johannesburg.
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources.
