Job Summary Group Financial Decision Support (FDS) supports decision making within the Absa Group through the provision of relevant financial information and analysis at a Group-wide level. This function is responsible for integrated planning and leading the annual budgeting process. This role supports the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis in ensuring that internal financial planning across the Group supports effective decision making.

Key Accountabilities Assist the team in executing the following deliverables to Exco and other members of senior management: Project management and analysis of key planning deliverables throughout the year: RAF, STP, Stress Testing and Integrated Planning outputs Monthly and quarterly key financial reports on financial performance Competitor analysis Research projects - gathering financial data and creating insightful analysis Results presentations at half year and year end Other ad hoc projects and presentations Financial scenario analysis and stress testing Consolidating financial information for senior management Attend meetings to assist executives to understand and complete their tasks to achieve team goals Accountability: RAF and STP review packs

Assess the attainability and reasonability of various strategic plans by comparing them to market expectations, past performance and management expectations. Compile review pack for submission to Exco and other relevant committees. Interact with departments such as Treasury, Risk and Group tax for assurance on technical aspects of submissions. Accountability: Ad-hoc requirements/submissions

Execute ad-hoc queries on a daily basis that vary throughout the year. Attend various committee meetings to provide valuable contributions based on economic understanding. Provide other departments with a range of information to perform their respective tasks. Accountability: Interim and year-end reporting

Compile briefing packs for annual and half year end financial statements. Compile quick reference packs engaging with stakeholders. Attend investor
