We require a tax savvy individual, as a large portion of the role is attributed to compliance with multiple tax systems across Africa. It's a strategic level role but also requires an understanding and involvement of what's happening at operational level, so a "hands-on" individual will be well suited.Responsibilities:Oversee financial management, ensuring compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and local tax regulationsDevelop and execute financial strategies aligned with company goalsManage working capital: cash flow, foreign currency, and supplier paymentsManage foreign currency and exposure to prevent lossesLead the global finance team, ensuring efficient and accurate financial operationsEnsure compliance with statutory requirements and tax submissionsProvide financial reporting and analysis to support business growthSoft Skills/Additional Info:Strong leadership and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentHigh attention to detail with strong problem-solving skillsQualified Chartered Accountant - CA (SA)Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in financial managementHands-on experience with multiple global tax systems and thorough knowledge of Double Taxation AgreementsStrong technical abilities in international tax systems, consolidations, and reportingHands-on experience with Xero and ERP systemsStrong knowledge of IFRS and GAAPExperience in working across multiple countries with cross-border financial regulationsBackground in mining, geophysical, or civil engineering sectors is advantageousWillingness to travel between international officesR50 000 – R90 000 CTC p/m negotiable based on experience
