Group Financial Manager

Eldorado Fresh is looking for a Group Financial Manager with detailed experience and knowledge of financial and accounting procedures and the principles of internal controls. The right candidate will be organised, focused, a self-starter and willing to go the extra mile.Required Experience & Proficiency:Minimum: BCom (Accounting) HonoursAdditional qualifications will be advantageousMinimum of 10 years relevant work experience with 5 years' or more experience in a senior, full function, accounting role with management experience is essentialExperience in the agricultural or manufacturing industries would be highly advantageousExperience with inventory management and cost accountingExperience in financial management, reporting, budgeting and forecastingProficient with managing year end processes and auditsHave been through a full audit firm articles process as part of your career developmentStrong working knowledge of VAT & tax laws, tax processes & IFRS for SME'sSARS e-filing and related experienceExperienced in managing salaries and wages cycles for at least 150 employeesCIPC knowledge and experienceExperience with accounting and financial analysis toolsIntercompany experience would be an advantageRegistration with a professional body, e.g., SAICA, CIMA, SAIPA is desirableNo criminal recordEssential Abilities & Attitudes:Strong management and team leadership skillsAbility to design and implement accounting, internal control and financial best practices and systemsHigh level of proficiency in Pastel accounting and payroll packagesThe ability to prioritise, excellent time management, planning and organisational skills, with strong attention to detailDeadline and outcome driven and motivated by achievementAble to work on own initiative with a high degree of accountabilityA collaborative attitude to working within the business and excellent interpersonal and communication skillsHigh level of proficiency with MS Office, especially MS ExcelAnalytical skills with strong financial analysis skillsProblem solving & decision-making skillsProfessional verbal and written communication and presentation skillsHonesty and integrity with an ability to manage confidential informationSelf-leadership skillsWilling to go the extra mile when required
