Key responsibilities: IFRS Expertise: Demonstrate strong knowledge and hands-on experience with IFRS, focusing on the preparation and consolidation of AFS. Consolidation Support: Assist with consolidating financial statements for year-end, including intercompany eliminations and adjustments. Oversight: Provide guidance and oversight to junior finance staff, ensuring work adheres to IFRS standards. Audit Preparation: Prepare schedules, supporting documentation, and liaise with external auditors during the audit process. Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate year-end reporting, including comprehensive disclosures in line with IFRS requirements.
Skills and Experience: IFRS & Consolidation: Proven expertise in IFRS, financial reporting, and consolidations, particularly within listed entities. CA(SA) Designation: Chartered Accountant qualification is a requirement. Supervisory Experience: Demonstrated ability to review and guide junior staff. Audit Readiness: Experience in preparing financials for external audits. Advanced Excel: High proficiency in Excel for financial reporting purposes. Availability During Peak Period: Willingness to work long hours and attend the office daily during the December to February peak period.
