BENEFITS: Competitive salary package Gain valuable management experience by leading a large team Excellent mentorship from CFO and Chartered Accountant Diverse and inclusive company culture Growing and expanding group Requirements Minimum – B Comm degree or equivalent Completed Articles (SAICA/SAIPA) will be advantageous Technical accounting knowledge (IFRS) GAAP experience advantageous Experience working with Evolution and/or other accounting package Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) Analytical skills Attention to detail Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines Pro-active personality Problem solving abilities Ability to work in a close-knit team Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Proven Leadership experience Fluent in English Key Responsibilities: Financial Full financial function of multiple statutory entities Preparation of consolidated Management Accounts in line with the deadlines on the financial calendar (accurate and in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements) Cashflow reporting and forecasting Preparation of consolidated Statement of Financial Position with its various audit files Ensure accuracy of journal capturing Update income tax and deferred tax calculation Managing accuracy of fixed asset register on a rolling basis Collation of various financial reports to be used in Financial Management of the business Monthly reporting to executive committee Analysing financial results of individual business units / cost centres against budgeted figures.
Investigation and corroboration of variances Reconciliation & submission of VAT and PAYE returns Liaising with SARS/ tax practitioner on all tax related issues Responsible for year-end audit by External Auditors Responsible for Creditors reconciliations and payments Review and approval of all payments Reviewing of Cash cycle & Bank recons Liaising with Bank on financing and banking related issues Liaising with Franchisor Coordination and planning of the annual budget process Ad hoc tasks to be received from CFO People Managing team of >10 accountants Managing three member Creditors Team Managing reporting deadlines Providing leadership and structure Coaching and mentoring the team as well as the individual personnel Performance evaluation and -management of finance team members Benefits Competitive salary package Gain valuable management experience by leading a large team Excellent mentorship from CFO and Chartered Accountant Diverse and inclusive company culture Growing and expanding group
