Group Financial Accountant

Our client within the mining space is seeking a Financial Accountant with group level experience to support financial reporting across multiple entities. The ideal candidate is someone who works well under pressure, has strong abilities in planning, time management, problem-solving, and decision-making. Responsibilities: Prepare annual financial budget for review Process sub-ledger transactions in line with internal processes (e.g. cash, AR, AP) Process general journal transactions Prepare monthly journals, reconciliations and relevant calculations Prepare monthly VAT calculations for review Prepare tax calculations for review Prepare annual financial statements for review Support internal and external audits Perform ad-hoc financial accounting tasks Process fixed asset related transactions Maintain the fixed asset register Gather and monitor financial data for analyses and value-added business insight Ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting to relevant stakeholders Ensure function adherence to Group governance, policies and standards, statutory and legal compliance
