Group Financial Accountant

They are seeking a meticulous and experienced Group Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of their financial statements and for supporting strategic decision-making across the company. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance Minimum of 5 years experience in financial accounting or auditing, preferably in a retail or related industry. Strong understanding of IFRS, corporate finance, and financial reporting. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficient in ERP systems and MS Office, particularly Excel. Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively across different divisions. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Key Responsibilities: Prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP. Manage and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the ledger accounts and financial statements. Coordinate with finance departments across different business units to gather, analyze, and consolidate financial data. Develop and implement internal control procedures to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of our financial operations. Liaise with external auditors during annual audits and assist with audit preparation. Prepare detailed financial reports and forecasts for senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities. Monitor changes in financial regulations and legislation that may impact the group. Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
