The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in the meticulous delivery of both internal and external consolidated reporting obligations. Furthermore, they will be integral to advancing the strategic finance objectives of the Group, particularly in areas concerning reporting, accounting, and financial control.Duties:Overseeing the preparation and review of group consolidated accounts for each reporting period for presentation to the Executive Committee (EXCO) and the BoardReviewing subsidiary financial statementsHelping with technical queries and contributing to the preparation and review of technical documentationSupporting financial managers throughout the reporting processCoordinating with external audit providersEnsuring timely and successful resolution of issues to enhance client service deliveryManaging client query processes, tracking, and accurately resolving queriesEstablishing and maintaining relationships with clients, as well as internal and external stakeholdersActively participating in and positively influencing change initiativesContributing to continuous innovation by developing, sharing, and implementing new ideasIdentifying solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and operational efficiencyPresenting shareholder results to the EXCOOverseeing the control accounts governance of the GroupManaging and monitoring statutory control accounts and related reconciliationsJob Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications:MatricBCom Accounting or equivalentBCom Accounting Honors/CTACA(SA)Experience:Completed articles within a big 4 audit firm2 - 3 years' experience post articlesExperience in the insurance/financial industryGroup Reporting experience is essentialUnderstands technical or professional aspects of work and continually maintains technical knowledge (e.g., IFRS)Skills & Competencies:Strong technical skillsA desire to add value and make a differenceThe ability to manage stress, pressure and competing demandsAttention to detail and good problem-solving skillsA self-starter who can run independently with complex projectsIf you have not had any response in two weeks, please consider the vacancy application unsuccessful.
