Group Accountant

Manage the trial balance, income statement, and balance sheet Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including inventory costing and work in progress, monthly Process and record adjustment journals with approval Prepare and report on monthly management accounts Perform day-end, month-end, and year-end procedures on SYSPRO Manage expense provisions and Nedfleet Load payments on the bank and ensure internal controls for creditors Oversee and manage the Creditors team and Clerks Handle petty cash processing and manage recordkeeping and filing Ensure internal controls at branches are compliant with company standards and legislation Update and reconcile fixed asset registers and process monthly depreciation Prepare profit and loss schedules for asset sales or write-offs Handle purchase documents for new assets and manage Instalment Sales Agreements Participate in the preparation of the annual audit file and liaise with auditors Assist in preparing and capturing the annual budget and reviewing variances Skills & Experience: Experience in the Manufacturing sector, particularly with bill of materials (BOMs) and inventory work in progress Minimum 5-8 years of experience as an Accountant in the Manufacturing or Retail industry Proficiency in Syspro is advantageous Strong personality with excellent communication skills Qualification: B.Com Accounting or Management Accounting degree Contact OLIVIA MELTZER on
