This role offers the chance to manage the accounting for holding entities that interact with all subsidiaries across the group, based in the vibrant city of Cape Town. The successful candidate will be involved in full financial functions, external audits, and various projects.What you'll do:Manage full financial function of 6 holding entitiesPrepare for and handle queries during external audit of these entitiesHandle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable including invoice entry, payment of invoices, issuing of AR statements to regional offices, setting up new accounts and cost codes in Sage X3Perform weekly/monthly petty cash reconciliation and post journal entries to SageAssist in monthly calculations, reporting and accounting for rebates and listing feesRestate foreign balances at month end spot ratesPrepare and submit monthly VAT returnMaintain fixed asset register and lease registerReconcile bank accounts and cash book, process and pay staff expensesWhat you bring:Minimum of 5 years bookkeeping and accounting experienceSAIPA or SAICA articles are required with 2 years PQE experience idealExperience with Sage would be advantageousExposure to working with foreign currencies would be beneficialAbility to prepare monthly set of management accounts (vs budget) with commentaryExperience supporting the preparation of annual budgetsAbility to monitor monthly expenditure to ensure it remains within budgetExperience with internal controls monitoringAbility to provide necessary schedules and information to tax consultantsWhat sets this company apart:This is an opportunity to join a growing multinational organisation that values the contribution of its employees.
