Groundsman | Maintenance Worker

Job Description Job Purpose : The Groundsman & Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining the school's outdoor spaces and assisting with general building maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, woodwork, and repair tasks.
This role ensures a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities : Grounds Maintenance : Mow lawns, trim hedges, manage gardens, and remove litter.
General Maintenance : Assist with minor repairs in plumbing, electrical, woodwork, and general building upkeep.
Outdoor Equipment : Maintain outdoor furniture, playgrounds, and sports facilities.
Safety & Cleanliness : Ensure the grounds are safe and tidy, reporting any hazards.
Seasonal Tasks : Prepare grounds for seasonal changes (e.g., leaf clearing).
Requirements Key Requirements : Grade 12   (Matric) or equivalent.
Experience in grounds maintenance and basic plumbing, electrical, and woodwork skills.
Ability to use tools and equipment for landscaping and general repairs.
Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors.
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
