Graphic Designer – The Matie Shop (Factory 209)

About Us:
The Matie Shop, a division of Factory 209 (Pty) Ltd, manages Stellenbosch University's trademarked apparel and merchandise. We operate through various supply chains and distribution channels, including brick-and-mortar stores, online platforms, and mobile trailer event sales.
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about design, brand development, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this role is perfect for you!
Key Responsibilities:
As a Graphic Designer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Promotional Product Design & Brand Development:
Create and design promotional products that align with the SU and Matie Shop brand identity.
Develop social media content and engaging visuals for various platforms, including TikTok and Instagram.
Design online store banners, ensuring fresh and relevant content.
Collaborate on photoshoots for new product launches.
Design Administration:
Draw CADs, logos, and creative concepts, ensuring adherence to corporate branding guidelines.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, colleagues, and university departments.
Prepare monthly social media reports, tracking performance and engagement.
Event Support:
Attend and support campus events, including Matie Pop Up Shops.
Assist with setting up promotional materials for events and engaging with students.
Essential Experience & Skills:
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Experience with MS Office and MS Teams
Strong understanding of design principles and brand identity
Additional System Experience (Desirable):
WooCommerce
WordPress
Key Outputs:
Effective stakeholder communication and collaboration
Consistent delivery of creative concepts that meet project requirements
Adherence to deadlines and branding standards
Reporting to: Matie Shop Manager
