We are looking for a skilled and experienced graphic designer to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a degree/diploma in graphic design or a related field from a reputable institution, as well as a strong portfolio showcasing their design work. They should possess a keen eye for detail and be able to create visually creative artwork for a variety of platforms, including but not limited to social media, email marketing, print, in-store and traditional marketing.
In addition to their design skills, the ideal candidate should also have a basic understanding of video editing software and be able to create engaging video content. They should be able to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills are a must, as they will be responsible for presenting their design concepts to management and collaborating with colleagues and clients.
Qualifications RequiredMinimum of 5 years of design experience in an in-house creative department or design agency.A National Diploma/Degree in Graphic Art/Design or any related creative field.Formal training/certification in the use of Adobe's Creative suite of programs or similar.Other software tools such as Dreamweaver, HTML, CorelDraw or AutoCAD is a bonus.Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and web design.Personal AttributesStrong creative, organisational, problem-solving, and time-management skills are essential for this role. The ideal candidate must be able to think critically and come up with unique design solutions that effectively communicate a message or idea.Adaptable and a quick learner. They must be able to apply style guides creatively and adapt to changes in design trends, client requirements, and project specifications.Possess strong conceptual skills, a high-level sense of design, layout, and typography, and be a broad thinker who is able to offer a variety of design solutions. They should be able to work collaboratively with other team members to create cohesive designs that meet project objectives.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must, as the designer will be responsible for presenting their design concepts to clients, team members, and stakeholders. They should also be able to listen actively and take feedback constructively.The ideal candidate should be able to work well under tight deadlines in a team environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritising workload accordingly.They should be able to take projects from start to finish with minimal supervision, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and producing accurate work with minimal revisions.Creative vision and thinking are key for this role.
