Grant Accountant

My client in Pretoria have a position for GRANT ACCOUNTANT for 6 months to provide Financial Grants support, the candidate will prepare a monthly financial grants reports, invoices and ensure timely submission of the complete reports with all required documentation. The candidate will also be reviewing and reconciling sub-sub recipients financial transactions and reports. Review expenditure in line with financial/ procurement policies, systems descriptions to identify weaknesses and make recommendations to encourage good practices: Timely accurate preparation of Monthly financial grants reports with required documentation for funders Proper allocation of expenditure in the correct budget lines Proper filling and storage of grants file Timely review and reconciliation of sub sub- recipients Monthly financial transactions and reports for all Sub-sub Recipients Consolidate SSR reports Review SSR PAYE, UIF, VAT, COIDA registration and compliance Review reconciliation of SSR project bank account, ensure the use of allocated account Ensure alignment of SSR policies and application to the grant Follow up to sub -sub recipients on outstanding documents and ensure timely review of monthly expenditure for submission to Grants Manager for approval. Prepare SSR replenishment request and ensure appropriate approval within the unit. Prepare budget realignment in the required template for both the Main Grant and the SSR, for the submission by Grants Manager Prepare documents for internal and external audits, and site visit inspections. 1.
